American Eagle: BreakThrough Limited Edition Print 20.5x28.5"
As I was preparing to canoe with family on the Mississippi river, we startled a pair of bald eagles who had been perched in a nearby tree. They flew across the river into the forest on the opposite shore. I decided to create a painting which combined several background elements...a broad spectrum of color, hazy forests, sunlight, and the American flag. The center of interest would be an eagle breaking through into sharp focus. For me, this painting captures the strength and majesty of the American Bald Eagle, the captivating beauty of the natural world, and the patriotic spirit of so many who sacrificed for our country.
